Want to be in a book club but don’t have time to read a whole book? Already love talking about controversial topics in a friendly environment? Or do you want to learn how to talk civilly and persuasively with people who have conflicting views on topics that make your blood boil? This is the article club for you. There is more controversy than ever in the world today, and we need skills to talk about challenging ethical issues in a way that is productive. Help us work on crafting those skills, and learn a lot in the process.

Read an interesting article on a controversial subject either before or during the meeting, and then chat about it over drinks and dinner (both veg and non-veg options available). No preparation required, just an open mind and a hungry stomach.

Where? Rodin Faculty Fellow Professor Megan Robb’s apartment, 2301

When? Four Wednesday evenings during the semester, 7-8:30 PM

What? Intentionally controversial topics chosen to stimulate lively, civil discussion. Prepare to disagree, and learn how to get better at disagreeing.

When:

Wednesday February 6th, 2019 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM
