Hello! My name is Kathryn McDonald and I am from a small town located in the high desert of Oregon. I received a Bachelor's of Science in History from Southern Oregon University. After college, I spent 4 years working in Residence Life at Black Hills State University, located in Spearfish, South Dakota. I finished my Master's of Education in Higher Education and Student Personnel at Kent State University in May of 2010. I then spent four years at the University of Wisconsin, Madison as a Residence Life Coordinator in Chadbourne Residential College. Most recently I was at Tulane University as an Associate Director of Residential Education. Academically I am drawn to social justice education and leadership development. My personal interests include pop culture (particularly comedy, music, and documentaries), my cat Kathryn Jr. (also known as Pizza Rat), and crocheting (I can make a sweet scarf or hat).
